You Say Hello, #2
After years of leadership and community effort spear-headed by the Mad River Valley Recreation District, there is an amazing set of new assets to help locals and tourists enjoy our Valley: a welcome center, pedestrian/bike bridge over the Mill Brook, a new trailhead area with an off-grid bathroom and parking lot behind the Local Folk building, and a detailed trail map with biking and walking paths well-labeled and inclusive of difficulty ratings.
The new iron bridge is a most impressive addition, connecting the new parking lot to the 60+mile of mountain biking trails. Thanks also to efforts from Mad River Riders that helped make this new space a reality. Mere pedestrians can walk over the bridge, but it’s really meant for bikers readying to assault the mountain trails on the other side.
