This is a loss for the whole town. Memories of the space and the thoughtful staff are flooding in: the tofu satay in the restaurant, the bourbon cocktails at the bar, the decadent coconut cake.
The Valley Fall Spectacular
Timing is always the tricky part. The short answer for 2024 is that since the MRV had very little rain in September, expect an early leaf-peeping season. Leaves are turning already! My guess for peak this year is Indigenous People’s Day; a three-day weekend perfect for leaf peepers.

More often than I think is statistically normal, humans in the Mad River Valley perform heroic tasks.

Sharon: I agree! The daffodils come up, the roads get muddy, and the creemee signs come out–all sure signs of spring in the Mad River Valley.
